This stunning Colt Single Action Army Third Generation revolver, manufactured in 1979, is a factory-engraved masterpiece chambered in .45 Colt. The factory-applied nickel plating is in exceptional condition, showing 99% retention with only light handling marks.

Complementing the engraving is a set of factory smooth mother-of-pearl grips, which remain in very good condition overall, with only a small shallow flake and minor check on the left panel. Mechanically, the action is crisp with excellent timing and lockup. “COLT ENG” is properly stamped on the inside of the triggerguard strap, confirming factory engraving. Factory artisans have applied their craft to this 1979 made revolver resulting in beautiful class D loose scroll engraving with subtle cross hatch shading. The metal surfaces retain about 99% original nickel plate with a few minor handling marks. The grips are smooth unmarked factory mother-of-pearl that rate about very good showing no wear but there is a small shallow quarter inch flake on the left panel where is meets the triggerguard strap with a light check extending 1" from it. All the appropriate parts are correctly numbered gun, the action is crisp, timing and lock up are excellent and the inside left triggerguard strap is marked "COLT ENG". A beautiful gun that sure to pique the collector's interest.
