Description
This Marlin Model 336CS is a classic lever-action chambered in .35 Remington and manufactured by Marlin in North Haven, Connecticut. The barrel is marked “MOD. 336CS MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL. 35 REM.”and carries the desirable JM proof stamp, identifying it as an original Marlin-produced example from before production moved away from North Haven.
The rifle features traditional walnut furniture, a blued receiver and barrel, full-length tubular magazine, exposed hammer, and Marlin's Micro-Groove barrel. It is equipped with a Bushnell Banner 1.75x-4.5x scope mounted in Weaver rings, providing a period-appropriate setup well suited to the character of this rifle. A sling is also included as pictured.
Overall condition is very good, with strong bluing and attractive wood showing only normal handling and use marks. The combination of the less-common .35 Remington chambering and JM-stamped North Haven manufacture gives this 336CS additional appeal to collectors and enthusiasts of traditional Marlin lever actions.
