Description
This Mauser Model 1914 is a classic German pocket pistol chambered in 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP). Serial number 397820 places this example among the post-World War I production Model 1914 pistols, predating the later streamlined Model 1934 and the entirely different HSc design.
The pistol retains its traditional straight-profile wood grips, fixed sights, heel-style magazine release, and distinctive Mauser slide configuration. Period markings include “MAUSER–7,65” along with the Waffenfabrik Mauser A.G. Oberndorf address and Mauser’s Patent marking. The Model 1914 uses a blowback-operated action and an 8-round detachable magazine. Wikipedia
This example shows substantial honest age and use, including finish thinning, patina, scattered oxidation and surface freckling throughout the metal. The wood grips remain attractive with expected handling wear. A black zippered soft case is included as pictured. An appealing original-condition example for the Mauser or early European automatic pistol collector.
